The cast for "The Space Between Us" which will be directed by award winning director Elaine Kennedy has been announced.
Emmet Kelly (Lost Memories, Fair City), Elaine Kennedy (Secret Scripture, Micheal Inside) and Jed Murray (Vikings, Game Of Thrones) will play the lead characters in the family drama written by Emmet Kelly which begins production in early June.
Elaine Kennedy who is set to direct and play (Sinead) in the film is an actor/film maker. Elaine has worked on several feature films including (Pick Ups) starring Aidan Gillen, IFTA winning director Frank Berry’s (Michael Inside), (Making It) by Eamonn Norris as well as Jim Sheridan’s Secret Scriptures. In 2016, Elaine wrote, produced, directed and starred in her debut short film (Uisce Beatha-Water of Life) The film has been very successful on the film festival circuit winning multiple awards both nationally and internationally. Elaine was recently a shortlisted nominee in the Aer Lingus Irish Film Maker of the year awards 2017 and was also honored with the Dingle Peninsula Talent person of the year award 2017.
Jed Murray who is set to play (Mike) is a writer, director & actor. Jed has worked with some very talented people on some fantastic projects such as ‘The Boys of Foley St’ (Anu). Game of Thrones, Love Hate and Vikings.
Emmet Kelly who is set to play (Joe) is an award winning actor and film maker. His recent film Lost Memories which he co wrote and starred in picked up multiple awards including best actor at The Richard Harris International Film Festival and The Eindhoven Film Festival for his performance. The film has screened and won awards in Ireland, the UK and America.
The Space Between Us is a family based drama between three estranged siblings who are forced to reconnect when a tragedy occurs in their family. The short film is being produced by Elynia Betts (Maeve And The Moon, Game Of Thrones, Homeland, ) and will film in Dublin city in early June. "The Space Between Us" is a joint production between Burning House Productions and Dingle Film House.
