A Very Irish Family to screen at 9th Underground Film Festival 2018



A Very Irish Family has been officially selected to screen at the 9th Underground Film Festival. The film festival kicks off on August 31st until September 2nd at the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire. Some of Irelands best films will be on show from the 100 plus films show casing at this year's festival.



A VERY IRISH FAMILY - Family Bonds are strained, as Europe is sundered by war in 1914. A well-to-do Irish nationalist family struggles with conflicting loyalties and the politically ambitious family patriarch is forced to re-evaluate his priorities when his idealistic sons volunteer to fight in France and Gallipoli following the outbreak of war. The film is directed by Emmet Kelly and produced by Rob Gill. Written by Rob & Declan Gill. The film stars Emmet Kelly, Joe Mullins, Anthony Moriarty, Aoife King, Hannah Osborne and Mei Bignall. Kevin Pruitt and Bob Caldwell co produce. The film was a co production between Aonach Productions and Burning House Productions.


The 9th Underground Cinema Film Festival takes place in the magnificent Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire from August 31st  to September 2nd. Its is sponsored by Silverspear Gin, Supported by Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council and the Royal Marine Hotel.  We are really looking forward to seeing you there


A Very Irish Family screens on Saturday at 8pm as part of the short program five at The Martello Suite.
