Lost Memories Wins Best Screenplay at Fastnet Film Festival.

Last weekend on Sunday 27th of May, Emmet Kelly & Eamonn Murphy the writers of “Lost Memories”, won the BEST SCREENPLAY Award at the Fastnet Film Festival in Schull. Lost Memories won out against over 200 films from around the world that screened at the festival over the course of the week. The film was also nominated for Best Drama, Best In Cork and Best Irish Film.

“Lost Memories,” is an independent production produced by Quintin Ahern from Army of Id and Eamonn Murphy and Emmet Kelly from Burning House Productions. Eamonn Murphy directs the Film.

The short film tells the story of Sean as he races against the clock to his mother’s deathbed while dealing with inter-family politics over the phone.

The film stars Emmet Kelly (A Very Irish Family, Fair City), Aoife King (Mammal, Fair City) and John Kavanagh (Vikings, Braveheart).


“We’re absolutely delighted to win The Best Screenplay Award at such an amazing festival. By winning this award we now have a platform to help promote our film and potentially secure international funding for further projects” – Eamonn Murphy.  The Fastnet Film Festival in Schull was celebrating it’s tenth birthday and had Directors Lenny Abrahamson, Jim Sheridan and Producer Ed Guiney in attendance.

“Lost Memories” has recently won “The Directors Choice” Award at The Boston Irish Film Festival, “Best Actor” award at The Eindhoven Film Festival, “The Newport Beach Award” and “Best Actor” Award at The Richard Harris International Film Festival as well as many other awards in America and Europe.
